The start of big things to come hopefully.

We are in the process of having our website developed and hopefully it will really raise the bar in terms of contents and interactivity with regards news and reviews for Irish Boxing.

Its pretty limited but have a flick around and let me know what ye fink so far!

Not to put a downer on things, but you should really just wait until the full site is up and running before putting it ''out there''.

I understand what you are saying and thought about that.

But decided to launch as the real site aint going to look anything like it and I need to get it live to start registering on the search engines and to show sponsors the type of content.

Its vey useful, it can be hard to get news on Irish boxing, the rte website is usually fairly slow to cover boxing and also lists boxing as an 'other' sport which just does'nt sit well me.

I liked your piece on the Duddy fight, well written and fair enough...Keep it up...

good stuff, had a good read of the duddy fight.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Its great to get a bit of support.

5 days in at we have had 1,000 unique hits from different people.

Obviously having a big fight like Duddy helped but still its much further ahead then I thought we would be.

    :D

So there we have it, Month One in the can.

Thanks for all the support guys, much appreciated.

It went a lot better than I hoped but its still early doors.

So far we have had 4,500 visits through the door and generated almost 10,000 page views. Not bad from a standing start especially as Google are slow to pick our stuff up because we are new, with only 7% of our hits coming from search engines.

We've had people from 54 countries log on to the site from China to Qatar and Sri Lanka to Panama but by far the biggest percentage has been from the UK and Ireland which is where near 90% of our hits come from.

    So heres to next month!

great look forward to this site, Irish media don't give enough space to Irish Boxing. Would be great to see a section dedicated to the amateur scene.

So, Month 2 in the can.

Pretty good stuff again - the main stats are that Site Visitors are up 27% and Page Views are up 34% smashing through the 10,000 page views mark aided in no small way by bagging an awesome 900 page views the Monday after the DolPhil show in Dublin.

Not bad for a month that actually had very little boxing action.

Still no sponsors on board yet though!

OK, tell me if you are getting bored now or still interested in the progress of the site.

    Month Three down.

The site is maturing a little now, still growing. 10% growth in page views and 10% growth in time on the site.

Not dramatic but we have tried to calm down on pimping the links on website and although that does bring in hits it has been replaces by a massive increase hits from Google searches and direct traffic from guys that have added the site to favourites.

    On we go!

    :D
