    This second evolution Grass starter for the Sinnoh region wasn't the worst, it was quite slow, but quite strong. Plus it evolved into my favourite final form starter for that region, Torterra :D

    I really like Torterra too. I was trying to get one of these or a tortwig/torterra in the GTS today, but then I realised I had never seen one so it wasn't entered in my pokedex. The GTS sucks, I hope they improve it in Gen5.

    Thats one of the issues i have with the gts. All pokemon should be available on the gts not just those you've seen. I also hope that theres a built in legit identifier so that it will say whether they are hacked or not

    Problem is, if you allow people to trade for any Pokemon right from the start or even as soon as they defeat the Champ there's far less challenge in completing your Dex - you just breed your starter with a ditto (assuming you can get one) till you get a female, put that up for a gen 1/2/3/4 starter, breed that and put every single one of the offspring up for whatever you need that isn't a legendary and you'll get it within a couple of days. Not exactly a challenge, just time consuming.
    If there was a middle ground where you could unlock entries in the GTS dex by completing tasks or even if they just made it so you *could* complete your own dex without needing to trade, pal park or insert other game carts in the GBA slot as long as you put the effort in, and when you've seen everything bar the legendaries, have some sort of side quest that unlocks museum exhibits, ancient tomes, pages from someone's notebook, whatever that one by one gives you the "seen" info for the legendaries not directly available in your game so you can trade for them....

    And yeah, loved Torterra, even though the tree on it's back was a little naff. My fave of the Gen 4 starters.
