The key should be on the underside of your router,If not you can ring eircom and get it from them.

connect the laptop directly to the router and go to it's homepage http://192.168.1.1 (someone might post it)

and then and change the password there, also change the SSID too

DO NOT USE THE DEFAULT PASSWORD IF IT'S A NETOPIA AS THESE ARE EASY TO BREAK - THERE WAS EVEN AN IPHONE APP FOR THAT !

the address for netopia routers is 192.168.1.254
