How to pay tax for self employed

I have been getting a Social Welfare payment for the last 8 years which I was taxed on, this income has just come to an end. I am now working part time (a few hours a day) but I have to invoice the company at the end of the month, they pay me and I work out my own tax which I don't know how to.

Has anyone got any information or feedback on the topic of paying tax in a self employed situation? I've had a look on the revenue website but didn't get anywhere.

You need to register as self employed with the Revenue Commissioners (google "form TR1.PDF" and that should get you the form, fill that in and submit it to your local revenue office.

Every year you will be sent a form 11 which you will need to complete and submit to the Revenue by the following 31st October (tax year ends 31 December).

Getting an accountant may be usful to you, if you wish feel free to PM me.
