Bassist wanted - vocals a bonus!

Hey there

Long story short, we're a three piece band based in North Dublin City. I'm drummer, and we've a guitarist, and an awesome female vocallist.

We've been together and jamming about 8 months by now, mostly covers stuff (rock/pop, bit of everything really) and have one original with a couple more in progress.

We've just played our first gig last weekend, and it was well received. We had a bassist stand in and it sounded great, so we're looking to add a bassist to the lineup.

We're all very easy going, aged 19-24... none of us are TOO serious, it's mainly for fun, so a good attitude is important! We want to gig a bit, and go from there.

Huge bonus points if you can sing too - although we've a main vocallist, it's always good to have others who can lend a different sound.

if it doesnt work out with him, im picking my bass up today (im not a noob just ta let you know, ok thats a lie, but iv been playing lead and rhythm guitar for various metal projects up north for about 7 years before moving to dublin.)

There's also a chance the bassist could be used in a wee side project we're starting with original stuff and a different vocalist, for what that's worth.

Okey doke, Sunday is filled, so anyone else that's interested, please drop a PM as we'll be doing 1-2 sessions a week. Just a brief bit about yourself - what you can play, if you can sing, how much (if any) experience, where you're located.

First off, I should point out that our lead singer (and rhythm guitarist) left us two weeks before this gig so we had three practice sessions to come up with a new setlist, had to get a stand-in bassist, etc. so was a MAJOR pressure job!

Nonetheless, here we are... any comments etc are more than welcome!

Haha, cheers, he's a mate of mine who helped us get the gig there. It was a 70's fancy dress night but sadly for him, he was about the only person who dressed up!

It definitely isn't up to what we'd expect as a usual standard, but so many things went wrong that we were happy just to scrape a pass outta the gig!

im back from holidays now. and free to jam tonight. unfortunatly i still havnt sorted the lack of amp problem.
