Supersprints in september?

After tricking some friends into doing a relay entry in a triathlon a few weeks ago, one of them has started swimming with the plan to do a short tri next year. They cycle and run a bit, and can already swim a few lengths in the pool with the odd break. I'd love to get them to do something this year, but don't know of any supersprints in about september. I recon a couple of months and they'd be well able to finish one. Anyone know of anything suitable? Might even get them to do a supersprint aquathon if such a thing exists?

Not sure if a super sprint is different from a sprint, but Sept 4th:

This will be my 8th year doing the Olympic here, so I can vouch for the organization etc...

Our club are hosting the Tri 795 on 1st August in Bunclody.
It has a 500m swim in a 20m outdoor heated pool, and is specifically targetted at beginners. Standard 20k bike & 5k run.
May be a bit earlier than what you wanted but it's probably the only pool based tri this late in the season.
We'll even give you a bit of hot grub and a goody bag afterwards and all!!:D

It's part of the Tri Start challenge series aimed at getting new people into tri.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I think if I'm going to get them doing it this year it would need to be a 500m swim.. so aside from the date being a bit earlier Bunclody would be perfect. Any idea if there's a cutoff on the swim time DustyBin?

I don't think there's any cutoff KingQuez, but I'll check with some of the other lads and let you know

No cut off times anywhere :)
As the event is aimed at first timers there's no pressure time wise, we just want everyone to finish it as best they can
There's also not the same issue about people getting cold that you would have with an open water swim cos the pool is heated - so bring the lilo and book yourself into the final wave :p
Numbers will be kept small (about 100) so that it's not too intimidating either
Anything else you want to know just ask

Having swam twice in the pool since I posted the above it's definitly a 25m pool and not 20m
Will mean a few less lengths to do for your mates KingQuez
