cycling to work

i am living in celbridge and am hoping to cycle to work in dublin 4, does anyone know if you can cycle from celbridge to ballsbridge along the grand canal. ive heard that a cycle path opened from adamstown into town but would love to cycle the whole way in. any info would be great, thanks
