Software for Unlocking 3GS

    I have an iPhone 3GS, it was a Vodafone contract and I got given it. I want to get it unlocked but Vodafone said they won't give the unlocking codes out until 12 months had passed after getting the phone.

    I'm thinking about getting this

    My question is, will it work??

    It has software 3.1.3 and it's an MC model

    It says the url is not valid :o

    The site is comig up alright but when I go to download the Spirit app says there's a problem!

    Got it going...wish me luck!

    Will I need to do anything before unlocking it? Or Jailbreaking it?

    It's just everywhere i've read it says my particular one has no unlocking software, but someone told me today Vodafone can unlock them but they won't until I have it a year!

    Once it's Jailbroken, is there anything I have to do? Like not update it or don't connect it to itunes or anything like that?

    it seems spirit wont work with latest version of itunes man , if you can wait a few days there should be new way to do it .
    Once it's Jailbroken, is there anything I have to do? Like not update it or don't connect it to itunes or anything like that?
    just dont update it in itunes if you jailbreak , you can still put all your apps and music on it like .

    Apple unlock them if requested by the operator. VF can't unlock it themselves.

    I gave it a go just there and it says it's jailbroken :confused:

    Brill that's all done, everyone in my house is Vodafone so I can't even check it worked!

    It was taking ages after I put my pin in after turning it on, it says SpringBoard has just crashed and its in safe mode, if I click restart, it comes out of safe mode but says "Searching" where vodafone used to be?!
