send a mail to seasonticket@gaa.ie I always find them quick to respond.

Wish they hadnt changed the way they allocate seats this year though

I'd the same problem as the OP - After sending an email they rang we back a few hours later. Problem was with the Credit Card and once that was sorted tickets were there quickly.

    What'd they change?

Basically last year, you brought your season ticket to the stiles and you got your seat at the gate.
I don't have a season ticket this year, but is it true that even if two people have season tickets, there's no guarantee of being able to sit together? Also, the fact that there's no guest tickets this year is ridiculous. Why'd they change it if it worked well last year?

Is it possible to get hill or Nally season tickets, i attend most league matches and all the Championship matches but the season ticket is no good to be if i can't be on the terrace.

Specifically for Croke Park, if supporters did not buy their season tickets together in one booking, then there is little chance of them sitting next to each other.

Last time out with Dublin-Wexford and Meath-Laois, it was not so much of a problem with the low attendance. However I would say for this weekend, any Meath and Dublin supporters will not be sitting next to friends or family where they did not buy tickets together in one booking.

I am not a season ticket holder, as I'm from Cork living Dublin and simply would not be able to get value from it.

However, I have serious problems with the season ticket mechanism for Croker this year.

    - There should be no requirement to buy season tickets in one booking. Espeicially in times of financial constraints, people may prefer to just look after their own affairs.

    - People that do buy these are financially commiting themselves to attending as many games as possible and should be rewarded for doing so by being allowed to take seats next family or friends. Its not very GAA to split people up.

As it turns out, I will attend this weeks game in Croker with some friends, and I am pretty confident that each one of us will be sitting in adjacent seats.
Season ticket holders, who paid up in advance, and pay for each subsequent game will be seperated.

I've been trying to think about the reasons for doing it this way this year. The only reasons I can think of are:

    1. They save money on the cost of printing tickets to allocate on arrival at the Season Ticketholder entrance.

    2. They can sell seats allocated to Season ticket holders who have not printed their tickets before the game, so as to fill otherwise seemingly empty seats.

If the reason is 1, then its just cheap.

If the reason is 2, then even if the season ticket holder has not printed the seat, the seat is paid for, so this is just pure profiteering.

There is an option this year to opt out of a game if you can't attend

I have 2 season tickets under the one booking, one is mine and other a friend. If one of us can't make a game we give our tickets away to someone else we know.

If you buy a 10 year pass for the premium level and your friend buys one there is a very small chance you will be sitting beside each other. Just like a seated concert. I think someone on here said they rang up the GAA asking to put a couple separate bookings together and they did. If the GAA has the same process as this year as last year we wouldn't have all this complaining

Like everything else you should know what you are signing up for before purchasing a season ticket.

I'm a season ticket holder for the second year running. Whilst last years system was ideal, the guys in the ticket office have been excellent this year handling my requests to seat four Dublin season tickets bought separately together.

I can not credit them enough. A simple email with the season ticket number and done and dusted. We all sat together for the Wexford games, and are allocated together for this weekends game. So in respect of your comments above it is easily arranged to be seated with other season ticket holder if you wish.

Well done to all in the ticket office.

With the increase in season tickets this season I think it's important to group fans from the same county together which is why I believe this was done over the get a seat as you arrive system in place last year.

On that comment there was no mention of the new allocation system in any of the terms and conditions prior to signing up. These details were not made available.

I'm pretty sure you do have to print your ticket for Croke Park. At least that's what my auld fella has had to do in the first Laois game and this game.
