    Hi Folks

Quick question - If a member of a society that is not affiliated to the GUI shoots higher than 36pts is he/she obliged to inform their home club for handicapping purposes? Should all society scores good and bad be returned to the home club?

You are obliged to return every score from Society outings, whether or not you beat CSS.

You will not be cut on individual scores, but they will be taken into account at the end of year handicap review.

are you obliged to return a score from any competition to your home club?

i played an open singles there on tuesday in another club and didn't send score back to my home club (i don't know how too anyway!) Am new to competitions.

If you swiped into a computer at the away club then most likely the score will be returned automatically.
However, there is (should be) a sheet on the notice-board in your home club where you are supposed to report your away scores... basically the date, your name, your score, what type of round it was (stableford/stroke/society/non-qualifying etc.), the course par, SSS, CSS (if known) and whatever else.
At least this way if the score isn't returned electronically and the card isn't returned physically then the handicap sec has something to work on.
Part of the player responsibilities for away singles qualifying competitions is to cut your self if necessary (not society) - http://www.congu.com/template2.asp?pid=221&parent=215&parent2=221

    +1
However, sometimes it can get a little grey if the society isn't affilliated, as in whats a society round and whats a casual round with your mates ?

You shouldn't be suspended for something like that.

Either you haven't been recorded as having paid your subs, or someone has made an error.

Contact your Club Secretary and clarify the issue.
