Long story short I am looking to get a priest outfit (maybe a vicar one as well) for stage use and I was wondering where around sells them . It’s going to be subjected to heavy use so the flimsy Halloween costumes wont do (plus it needs to look authentic ) I know of the place between O’Connell st and Gardner st but am having trouble finding others does anyone know of any others . Does anyone know of other places /websites ??? (I presume there are at least a few priest’s / vicars/ ministers that frequent the Christianity board)

    Thanks in advance
    Chris

If it is a large scale production I'm sure that there will be somebody who can make a mock-up. Try the preforming arts forum.

I am in charge of putting the production on (it's not a big company), i did first post in the performing arts, section and found out it's a pretty slow part of boards  Next door is involved with productions so I might give him a shout later , failing that I am on good terms with some of the local priests . I thought there would have been a few people in the know on here. FTR I have found a few sites that sell shirts + collars for clergy at what seems like a pretty reasonable price:) it seems to be a case of you buy them and then go else where for the suit

Just don't show the priest about your posts here :pac:

Anywho, you might want to try Faceman, I believe he is the mod of the Boards Drama Group and Theatre & Performing Arts. Possibly he has some connections. Alternatively, you could try the fashion forum. Perhaps someone there knows people in the tailoring business.

Funnily enough I have never talked about religion with them :D

I'm pretty sure that Kennedy & McSharry in Nassau street do some of this - but why dont you just ask a local priest?

Black trousers, jacket if needed and a black shirt. could clip a piece of white paper under the colour. Most of them when you buy one has a white piece of cardboard under the coller.
