Hertz U Soundsystem presents Coki and Cotti

Coki is one part of Digital Mystikz, a dubstep production duo, the other half being Mala, from the South London suburb of Norwood. Coki's renowned for his backseat low profile persona and his wielding of massive bassiness. Along with Loefah, Coki and Mala operate the DMZ record label and host the influential bimonthly nightclub DMZ, held at the Mass club complex in Brixton, London. Their song "Anti War Dub" appeared in the 2006 film "Children of Men," although it wasn't included in the soundtrack.

Cotti hailing form Brixton, South London, is an established producer / mc and founder of the 'SUMTING NEW' label & collective (2009) plus dubstep focused label 'BASSFACE REC' (2009), Cotti is without a doubt regarded as one of the top players within the dubstep movement, with his own unique sound of reggae creatively blended with grime / garage to make dubstep, this young man is single-handedly dominating the vocal aspect of dubstep in the UK.

Cotti quickly cemented his name permanently in the dubstep genre, with DJ support from the likes of DMZ & LOEFAH, SKREAM, HATCHA, N TYPE, CASPA, RUSKO, PLASTICIAN, KODE 9, PINCH, THE BUG, MARYANNE HOBBS & most notably DJ CHEF, debuting / playing classics like "SENSI DUB" (2007) "THE LEGACY" (2007) "I DONT GIVE A DUB" (2007), and followed up with dance floor anthems "CALM DOWN" (2008) & "RISE DA TEMPERATURE"(2009).

Cotti also has tracks featuring on the massive "BOX OF DUB 2" & "STEPPER DELIGHT 2", albums both released on souljazz records, as well as a string of 12" releases with the pioneering record label, plus "THE LEGACY" also featured on the "FABRICLIVE 37" compilation by CASPA & RUSKO, also released in 2007.

With Grooverider in the basement and the Surge boys showcasing some fine techno in the Mezz, this promises to be a whopper night in the Twisted Pepper not to be missed.
