...work in an office with an old Philips 710 transcription system, with Philips 388 dictaphones and those small cassettes. One or two of the dictaphones are on their way out, so wondering should we just replace them and continue with the tapes or chuck them out and get a digital system. The digital dictaphones seem cheaper, but if that means a whole new transcription sysem it would work out much mnore expensive. On the other hand, can the hardware that came with the manual system, the pedals etc., be used with digital dictaphones? And what should I look for in digital systems?
