Just got my results, and i failed 1 10credit module and a 5 credit module.
I got 38% in the 10credit module.I was wondering do you think it would be a waste of time to get it rechecked, just to bump me up the 2%,so i could then compensate and not have to repeat any of the exams.
I doubt there is any point going up to the lecture as all he has to do is look at my attendance, and i doubt he will do it.
Any ideas are much appreciated but im dreading having to repeat the 2:(

in a recheck they just check that all the marks were added up correctly

An appeal would be a better option if you could fulfill the criteria. You should look it up. I failed 2 subjects by a few percent in my first year and passed on appeal. Only problem is it took so long! I found out 3 days before the repeats started that I had got my appeal so I still wasted the summer studying!! Worth a go though

yeh, but you cant just appeal - you have to have grounds for appeal - medical personal stuff etc

I'd say your attendance is the reason why you weren't 'bumped up'.

It is not a question of 2% however, but 4 marks, as it is a 10-credit module. If you were 2 marks short in a 5-credit module you would almost certainly automatically get them.

I doubt that any appeal to get 4 marks to allow you to pass by compensation would be successful.
