    Hi,

I bought a new sony ericsson x10 mini the other day and it is a fantastic phone. It is running in the Android system which is really good. The only thing that I can not figure our is that when I open up an application I don't know how to close them so I am left with multiples of Apps open at the same time. This seem to run the battery down really fast, but I can't seem to find any where or anybody that knows how to close the apps when I am finishes. Would anybody have any ideas how to close the apps.frown.gif
    Thanks in advance

you can download advanced task killer and use that to close open tabs. However how long out of a charge and you getting and how long do you think you should be getting out of a charge.

The Problem with a lot of the high end touch screen smartphones is that they generally only last a day and a bit up to 2 days max. So you generally have to charge it every night just to make sure you don't run out of power come day 2.

    Thanks Joe,

Even when I hgave it on sleep mode it only last about 15hrs. Where do download advance task killer? My wife has a smart nokia phone and when you put your finger on the open apps it give you a dropdown to exit that app but it is not on the sony, she gets a good 2 days out of her phone.

One of the general ideas behing Android is that you don't close Apps - the OS does that as required. Hence why there is no easy way to close the Apps. ATK is great but it's not recommended you use it constantly. Grab it from the Makret.

Running Apps generally won't have much of an effect on the battery. AFAIK the battery just isn't that great on the X10's - I'm sure thats been mentioned in another thread on here

The best way to explain it is that force closing applications is like closing a filing cabinet drawer with some paper sticking out. Sure the paper will be okay but over time it'll start to degrade & tear & you won't be able to read what's on it (or in this case the apps won't work as well as they should). It's the same principle as why you shouldn't force shutdown your PC a lot.

Do you find the back cover a bit loose or is there a knack to making it secure?
