    Whenever I try to play a ranked game on fifa 2010 i can't sometimes it takes around 20 mins for me to get a ranked game ffs :mad:

    Is there anything I can do to quicken it up?

    You'll need to set your ps3 to a static ip and then open some ports on your router. Its your firewall thats blocking the online games.

    I'm currently using a Netopia router and i'm on perlico but I can't open the ports :mad:

    Thinking of buying a belkin router, is this a good router for opening ports and playing fifa online?

    Is it only FIFA, or have you tried other online games?

    Check NAT type, 3 is useless for online gaming. NAT type 2 is ideal(wouldn't be bothered getting NAT type 1).

    Yeah it seems to be only fifa , I played cod online a few times and it was fine.

    Had a Belkin when I was with IBB, changed ISP as was having problems with IBB.
    Now have a Netgear with UPC, no issues.
