Road I presume?

Mavic, Shimano and Campagnolo/Fulcrum all make decent sets in this price range-you wont go too far wrong with those brands. Preferably buy from your LBS for after sales service unless you're proficient at truing and servicing wheels.

E@gle is spot on-great value for the Ksyriums at CRC. If you are a heavier rider though they have a little too much lateral flex for my liking.

I have a set of Fulcrum 7's for winter commuting/training that I now use onthe Turbo Trainer. They have thousands of km done and are still as true as the day I got them. Maybe trade up to a 5 or a 3? if you are a racer, the 3 is a great all rounder.

Yah probably won't get them cheaper than the CRC price but no harm in asking to see if they will do a price match.

I use the Kysrium equipe which are a model below the elite for Training and they only needed to be trued once and i never broke a spoke, i'd say i have put in 20,000km on them and no problems.

I've never owned a pair of Fulcrums but lots of guys in the club have them and they are also excellent.

Just to bear in mind - I bought a pair of EA 90 about 18 months and have had more than enough problems with them. I have sent them back twice (under warranty) to get bearings replaced and I am now waiting on a new freehub for it, I have also had to replace 2 broken spokes. Dont get me wrong, performance wise I am very happy with them but not sure that I would ever but another set.
Thats my tuppence worth anyway....

I'm looking to sell a lightly used pair of these

www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/wheel-sets/product/race-x-lite-wheelset--24045

Titanium skewers, high pressure rim tape and a brand new Ultegra 6700 cassette included. For what I'm looking for, with your budget, you'd have enough left for an extra set of Fulcrum 7's.

Try to buy them new in this country and you wouldn't get much change from e700.

Give us a PM if your interested. Good luck with whatever you go with!

I'm looking at the same,
there a great price in cyclesupertore

I broke a spoke yesterday on my Fulcrum 7
droped it into my LBS this morning and should have it tomorrow

I dont think its a big deal if a spoke breaks as long you trust the bike shop to fix it properly

IMHO
