    if you REALLY want to..
leave the engine as is if I was you, you'll only be spending money to get minimal gains, you won't even notice them.
regards the bodykit, I recommend going for a subtle one, doesn't stand out but seriously improves the looks and a nice set of alloys to finish it off.
The bodykit will need to be painted and fitted, you'll have to go to a bodyshop for this and it won't be very cheap to get done(painting is expensive)
Don't paint the interior please, it just looks tacky 90% of the time.

but if I was you..realistically I'd do nothing, save up and get something worth modifying!

www.potn.co.uk is a good site for having a look through, not sure about the cost of postage though.

I'm not interested in buying alloys but I check the clearence section on alloy-wheels.ie sometimes and they seem to have some nice prices on wheels. Not sure how they compare tbh.

Buy second hand if you can.

To be fair though, whatever you do to the engine/body its still not going to perform/look great. I'd save your money....

I hate 1 litre corsa's or clio's that are modified.

what I also think is stupid is a bmw with a m3 body kit and alloys and then a stupid 320d badge on the back if your going to try and have a m3 replica go the whole way and get an m3 badge

front number plates in the wrong place is also fairly stupid

If ya want to modify it forget doing anything to the engine... Just put that right out of your head now.

Change the wheels to a nice set of Euro Style ones, you can go two options here, get a bigger set like 17's or stay with the current size.

If i was in your shoes, id keep the current size, so your not slowing the car down or anything, get lower profile tyres (warning they will reduce comfort) and then get lowering springs and drop it on to its arse.

Then you could look at doing some cosmetic mods like removing the rub strips on the door, and then getting a tidy splitter kit.

On a side note, in my own experience, its worth just saving your money until you can afford to buy a standard car that handles well, looks well and performs well from the factory.. The money you spend now you will never see back.. But i know what it means to be proud of something so, if your committed roll with it.

Some good advice here! Stay away from the engine, put nice wheels on and put petrol in it every now and again. Don't waste your money doing anything to a 1 litre. There's nothing you can do to the engine to make it better, adding bodykits and the rest is a waste of money. You'll probably be upgrading in the future, wait till then to start looking at mods.

True but in fairness to the OP we've all got to start somewhere.
I once fitted a KnN filter to a Fiesta and I fitted blue neons under the dash :o

    Point taken!

Did you add a cone filter or a panel filter?

Panel I think, I noticed massive gains in the upper RPM range
