What do ye do now that water levels are lower than they have been in years???

Bennets bridge weir in kilkenny is so low that the sluice gate on the left is taking all the water and the weir itself is dry. There are rocks on the river I have never seen before. Definately not a rime to be running most rivers!!!

I saw that , you would have to get out and carry the canoe down the middle of the weir.LOL

Sea Kayaking. I find if I mostly stick to sea kayaking over the summer and rivers during the winter I'm rarely disappointed either way.

Flat water play boating is the only thing that provides a bit of fun - no rivers running ad certainly no features unless tidal.
Watch magic seaweed for tides and swells and head out when they are up. Tramore would be good for you.

some of the quicker stuff was a go this morning, but the weather has been clear since 4am so levels dropped fast. maybe more rain will come. you gotta be quick this time of year though as everything just runs off the dry land so fast.
