I had one in my hand today! Several options available and prices.

    What is your budget?
And what material you prefer laminate, or synthetic wood etc

200 euro or around that ,material wouldn`t really be an issue or would material make a difference to accuracy ,e.g. the heavier the stock the steadier the gun thing like that ?

    TBH

It only makes it more comfortable to house, some reckon a tumbhole slows a follow up shot down.

There are a few laminate on the market.
I'll PM you contact details for some

Did you consider a recrown, increases accuracy for €90 it was the best return on investment i have witnessed.

Will you explain what a recrown is please, would it suit all rifles, would it be a good idea for someone like myself who mostly stalk deer or is it mostly for target shooters, cheers:)

    ya please explain

It increases accuracy assuming the crown is bad in the first place. It means to examine the crown, that is the muzzle end of the barrel, and perfect the finish on it. If the barrel's a little rough it'll make a substantial difference, much less if it's a good barrel in the first place.

Barrel of rifle has a crown or angle on the end of it. If you put barrel in lathe and dial it in you may find a few hundredth of a mm our concentric.

This recrown is only a touch up on this, almost takes no metal off, more polishes to look at.

You can also rebed and install pillars to adhere the rifle to rather than having a spongy feel when tightening the action.

No such thing as a too accurate stalking rifle Shank ;)

If it was done wrong yes, no harm to get your crown checked anyway.
I have seen lads pay thousands for new rifles to half their groups, I halfed mine for €90

    food for thought.;)

Give your local custom rifle builder a call ;)

I can get head shots on bunnys at 100 - 150 yards.
Would a recrown make much differ?? TBH i try get to within 150 yards anyway, closer if i can depending on the field.
I shot a bunny just below the neck ( aiming for the head at about 170-80 yards), it took his arm right of and made xhit of the top half. No good. It did the dogs but would rather it do me. How good is this recrown you bang on about Sackleberrywho??:D:D
