I've heard anectodally if you get a letter from your employer saying you need the license it can be moved forward. Can't comfirm this though.

Which centre? The average is 10-14 weeks, unless it has changed recently!

Not really sure are you able to specify what centre ? I would be willing to travel because my nearest centre is Wicklow and that is supposed to be horrific.

You can specify which centre you want when you are booking. Of course you don't have to pick your nearest centre, but most people do. I think the pass rates are a bit misleading - if you can pass your test in one centre, you should be able to pass them in all centres. My advice would be to do the test in a centre where you are familiar with the routes, e.g. from lessons.

I recently booked my second test in finglas. On both occasions I got a date that was around 3 weeks away.

Did you do that through the new 'pick a date' system?
I was talking to the RSA and they said that as I'd already sat the test I couldn't use the pick the date feature on the website application form

Was that a cancellation? In Dundalk it took me 12 weeks the first time and 10 weeks the second time. I didn't apply for a cancellation though.

Yes it was the "pick a date" thingy - both times

I dont know if they were cancellations - the first time I booked my test, I had a choice of a few days (even saturdays) with 3-4 week wait. The second time I had only a choice of 2 days but still within 3 weeks. Im booked in for the 21st of july.

Pity Dundalk didn't have that 'choose your own date' service - that would have been extremely convenient - saving me from having to take time off school!

Best of luck with your test!
