Er...a mic is not just a mic.

For a semi decent wired mic, you want to be looking at a Shure sm58 and they cost the guts of €100. For a decent wireless system you'd probably want to spend at least €200 or more!

Range: approx 10 feet approx with clear line of sight and slight buzzing.
    Feedback: Lots
    Brand: Generic
Uses: Papweweight, Noisemaker, Light Crowd Control Baton....

Seriously, if you intend using a Mic AT ALL .. Invest or you'll look/sound an ass.

SM58 will last a lifetime of Abuse .. if you want cheaper, the T-Bone Thomann '58 knockoffs aren't half bad just for DJ use... neither of these is wireless ... + 100 euro minimum.

In the words of a Famous Big Eared green crinkly guy ... Do or Do-Not.

P.S. I can get them cheaper ! :-O and yes I have tried them as they are the staple crap home mic for use in home Karaoke systems this side of the world (yes I'm in Asia) ... and even here you'd wanna be cheap to buy one of them as most people actually invest in their Karaoke systems LOL :p

P.P.S. Decent Headphone plugged into the Mic socket will sound better

    Is the Shure SM58.Wireless?

I'm talkin about investing in a wireless mic(strictly wireless) I have a professional one except it has a wire, wire's are so last century! So 100 euro would be my budget. Can someone link me up to a half decent one on ebay please.

    Thanks for the replies.

p.s. dont mind the bold font that looks off, Boards have changed the way things are in their toolboxes. It's annoying.

€125+15 PandP is the best I can find that wont sound like you are using tin cans and string. http://www.thomann.de/ie/the_tbone_tws_headset_863mhz_02.htm

But for €150 you get a Senn thats gonna be far better I'd guess http://www.thomann.de/ie/sennheiser_freeport_vocal_set.htm

    EDIT: http://www.thomann.de/ie/the_tbone_tws16ht_800mhz.htm 98 Ex PandP(15).

Did you know that the SM57 is the choice of mic as used by the President of the United States for many years on his lectern?

And we should always follow American Presidents because they are always so so right ...

Haven't seen Obama MC'ing too many clubs recently mind :P

In seriousness though '57 & '58 are identical in every way apart from the pop shield.

You CAN get a wireless '58

I thought DJ's that talked over the music were so last century .. oh well each to their own. :D

Seriously Don't Ebay a decent Mic, you'll most likely get a knock off (unless you're paying close to retail)...and you probably wont know its a knockoff, they look feel, and are packaged identically to the originals... even the wire colors on the inside are the same at this stage.
