I have a 2005 Audi A3 turbo Diesel, 2 litre, 140 BHP, SE model, 3 door. It is early 2005 so its not the facelift Audi A3 that was brought out later that year

At how many miles is it recommended to change the cambelt/timing belt on this car ?

P.S. I dont even know if it has a timing belt or a cam belt and dont know the difference between the 2 !!!

"Timing belt" and "cam belt" is the same thing. However, some engines have a chain instead of a belt which may not need to be changed on regular intervals.

Ring a dealer or look at the service book but I think the pd tdi is 4 years or 80k miles the common rail one I think is 120k. If I was you I'd check it out...
