Banger Rally - Anyone wanna do one?

Ok guys,

Im bored and have a good few holidays left, so was thinking of doing a banger rally. But unfortunately most of my mates are holidaying with the missus, broke, unemployed etc, so none of them can do one..

I did one last year to the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway and it was great craic.. Fantastic driving and scenery too.

Anyone fancy getting a team or few teams together to do one?

Basic rules are as follows:

• Not a race (Sets of tasks to do)
• Car is usually under a certain price (hence banger!!)
• Most cars usually have a theme and are decorated accordingly..
• Money usually goes to charity
• Good fun to be had and usually good craic with other ralliers
• Something cheap and different to do rather than sitting on a sun lounger bored..
• The car is usually scrapped at the end and fly home

I was thinking about one at the end of Aug or in Sept.

Anyone interested?

Yup thats the crew I did the Arctic rally with last year.. was more wondering if anyone here wanted to do one???

How would insurance work out for this for the Irish one? Would you just transfer your policy onto the car, or do you have to try persuade your insurance co to leave you do a rally down Ireland LOL

Did anything happen with this? I'd be up for it myself, all depends on funds really.
