Summer hats

I need a hat to keep my nose and forehead out of the sun.

During the spring, winter and autumn (or sprintertumn as the weather was the same) I embraces wooly hats of all shapes and sizes and found that they added a lot to an outfit. But now its too hot for them and Ijm left wondering what to put on my head now.

The only thing I can think of is a cowboy hat but I feel like id constantly look like i was festival bound, or a sporty peaked cap. Are they really the only options for a girl in summer?

    All suggestions much appreciated!!!

The Panama or Fedora are really nice and v fashionable for men and women.
I bought one last month and wear it all the time in the sun. I've had some very positive comments about it.
There is something classical about these hats!!

oooh i love the straw trilby ones!

If i could get away with it id get a huge floppy sun hat, but alas still live in ireland....

Does anyone know of any high street shops that stock them? I have a ..ahem a somewhat oversized head ahem that makes online hat shopping impossible. :o

    Penneys hats are tiny!

They have a really cool wide brim straw hat in Dunnes at the moment that I am in love with! It's not too big, just a nice size for Summer.

The hat shop in Stephans Greet or John Selvin (sp?) in Essex St Design centre.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

The mens section of H&M, I'm an XL in mens (it's all the brains I tells ya :p ) and it's the only place I can get hats. They've some really nice straw trilbys at the moment for around €6

    mmm H&M sounds promising.

I tired a few on today at a market and i can definetly say my head is larger than 59inches. the stall had no bigger sizes.
There are some lovely ones around now that iv been looking, with different patterns in the straw.

I have melon-head as well :( Haven't bought anything from him because of brokeness issues but Shevlin milliners (oldgoat already mentioned them) in the Essex St design centre will make you a hat to fit if you fancy it. His hats are super pretty as well

M&S do a decent range of sizes too, I went a bit too big on mine so it almost drops off if I lower my head, but that's at the XL size
