Replacing iMac drive and using old one to continue data recovery

    Hi guys.

Yes I didn't back up all my stuff. And yes my hard drive did fail :)

Anyway, have been booting off an external hard drive (which is a bit slow) and slowly using data recovery software to recover my stuff. I have all but about 50gb of movies. This is painfully slow so I have a different plan but just want to know if it is a runner.

I plan to get the bad hard drive replaced and keep the old one. Will I be able to continue data recovery by putting the old drive in a mounting enclosure and recovering from it?

    Thanks!

    No reason why not.
