*HELP* How do I clean my Laptop Hard Drive?

    I want to put everything I have on my laptop (videos, documents, pictures, music) onto a new Desktop Hard Drive that I have just purchased.

    Do I just drag and drop all files onto it?

    After putting everything from my laptop onto the external Hard Drive I want to in a sense ''clean up'' my laptop. My laptop is running a little slow at the minute. I want to restore it to what it was like the very first day I got it.

    How do I wipe everything clear from my laptop so I can start again with a new ''fresh/clean'' laptop with nothing on it?

    Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Yeah, just drag and drop, files from, my music, my pictures etc then test play a few files just to make sure drive is working ok.say you have a windows vista cd,.Make sure your cd works, insert cd ,windows cd should boot up.IF not check bios, set boot options, cd=o, cd/dvd 1st boot device. Then when cd boots, use setup, install windows option, use install os ,format disk ,hardrive option.
    it,ll test the drive,then format it.
    First make sure you have the windows serial no,you can first download ,install,run belarc advisor ,it,ll tell you the windows os serial no/license key.write it down.
    after about 4 mins it,ll ask you to input serial,no,product key then it,ll install a fresh
    windows installation.

    or click drive options,advanced, full disk format.
