Ultrasound result procedure

Hoping somebody can help as I have no idea how this works!

Have been having pain in my upper right abdomen for the last 6 months and GP finally referred me for an ultrasound to check for gallstones. Had the ultrasound today and afterwards asked the technician if it was gallstones and she said no.

Just wondering if this is my final result?! Or is the ultrasound looked at in more detail to check for any other issues and results sent to my GP? Just not sure what to do now....whether to make an appointment with my GP or wait?

the ultrasound will be read by a radiologist and teh results sent to your gp, who will contact you with results

That's great, thanks a lot. Have never had an ultrasound before and the technician was far from friendly and when she told me it wasn't gallstones I was very unsure whether that was all there was to it or if I'd hear from my GP. Thanks for your help
