    Hi,
I'm looking for someone who might be able to do some chassis repair to a project. Basically repairing the part of the chassis where the leaf springs are attached to the chassis. Also possiby a few plates in the floor pan.

Anybody got any contacts, hopefully in the Dublin area.

    Thanks.

    What age is the car?

Nearly all of the more modern car chassis are built usng high tensile Chrome Moly 41xx steel which would require more specialised tig welding rather than mig.

Try Jimbojones40 on here. From what I saw he would be able to sort you out, also has a trailer so he could pick the car up and drop it back.

I did a double take when I saw that, they're butt ugly but kinda cool as well. I was told anything up to 2000 will fit in I guess that's a mk5.

I agree there, but inside they are very spacious, I stayed in it for a few nights in Tralee, its like a railway carriage inside compaired to my VW, you just have to forget what the outside looks like.

My brother made his even uglier by hand painting black it in household paint. RTE then rented it off him for a prop in Fair City for a few weeks, he probably got several times its value from the deal. After that It was parked at a friends place and the council litter warden told him it had to go because it was an eyesore.
