I'm in the market for a tent at the moment for family weekends away (ideally 2 room 4/6 man tent, any recommendations, sing out!).

I have been looking online and the O'Meara Camping home page seems to be giving some very strong advice about staying away from dome tents http://www.omearacamping.com/FrameTents/frameTents.htm

I don't want to buy a heap of crap that breaks or rips after a couple of trips away, but I also don't want to spend €600+ for a bit of canvas and a few poles! ;)

Is their advice of framed tents made from cotton the best way to go?
