And the winner is Annecy France!

Munich is to close to the 2011 World Champs & Korea is to close to Sochi! Plus the French need to be kept quite every so often

cool, so regarding nearby resorts there is the portez du soliel - avoriaz, morzine etc, then im guessing chamonix and a few others? been stuck in annecy bus & train station several times this year...... lovely place

The favourite to get it is Pyeongchang as they have appplied and lost in the last 3 competitions to host to Vancoover, sochi and turin.

Althouhg I think if Annecy get there act together and imporve their proposals for locations of events they may sneak it. Allot of what they are proposing is based in Chamonix which would be a mare from a spectator transport point of view but with all the European support on the IOC and the fact that it will be Europes turn to host.

Should be intresting to see where it ends up though

I guess it would be Europes turn by then, but sounds like Korea might be due. London having the summer games just before hand might go against voting for a European host as well.
