Fair Play to Coke

Just listening to LMFM there when I was getting some food into me, and apparently they're 'donating' approx. €900,000 to the town.

€500,000 of it is in the form of some activity centre that already exists somewhere, and apparently they're souping up their park down by the Boyne, too?

Not entirely sure of the details, but it's great of them to do so, especially considering they're not even in the town anymore. Very good company.

Anyone know what I'm waffling on about, and perhaps have any more info/details on it?

They were giving out free cans of coke zero a few weeks back at the sq.

Coke themselves didn't actually run the plant(s) in Drogheda, it's a 3rd party company who make the syrup for Coke.

The still have a few staff working in the head office for the company in Drogheda.

Should make the old site in to a huge adventure playground!
