    Hi guys,

I am currently having a problem with my laptop connecting to wireless networks. It is connecting and sometimes connecting to the internet but most of the time it tells me limited connectivity. its been happening for nearly a year just haven't had a chance to try sort it.

Now before anyone suggests that it is my wireless router I am running my xbox and iPod form the same router and they work fine. I have also tried connecting to wireless networks in my girlfriends house and collage and the same problem.

IS THIS A VIRUS???........ I have Avast and have run many many virus scans and it does not register anything

If so how will I remove it or how do I reboot my OS, or am I best forking out €80 dropping it to a repair shop.

    Any suggestions welcome please

Is it Vista? The wireless controls in Vista are a mess TBH.

Limited connectivity Usually means you have a full connection locally, but arent getting out onto WAN(the net).

First off go into your adaptors properties and make sure neitehr IPV4 or IPV6 are set to static IP.

Next check your firewall and make sure it is selected as a trusted network(Home or Office mode rather than Public)

    After that, re-install the adaptor.
