The JD 6506 I drive for a guy has a problematic lift. While using it to back up silage, every now and again the lift would stop working. It wont go up or down and the only way to get it going again is to turn off the tractor for a minute and restart it. This doesnt always get it working again. Sometimes it takes a few restarts. It generally gives trouble after the back end has warmed up. I'm not sure but the problem might be connected to what ever system stops the lift from rising once it has reached a certain weight. I think this because after the lift starts working again after restarting it wont lift anything heavy for a few minutes and stops the lift from rising as if it was at its maximum capacity.
Anyone on here encounter such a problem before or have any suggestions on why this is happening?
Its a frustrating problem on a machine that it brilliant for pushing up grass.
