Ironman Week 2 taper question ?

    Ok im in week two of my taper and have big time itchy feet .. my plan was 4 hours training this week should i exceed it, it just so hard cos the weather is so nice out right now , race day is sunday

    last week was 10 hours, week before was 16 and 16, 18 before that all around 15-16 that for about 6 weeks

    I'm no taper expert but that "itchy feet" feeling is exactly what you want to be getting this week. I'd say stick to your plan and make sure you are still raring to go on race day. Personally I'd be inclined to keep the number of swim sessions as per prior weeks but at a 1/4 of the mileage just to keep the feel for the water, a couple of 20 min runs with a few strides also keep me sharp.

    Its hard sitting on your hands, anyway cant run till the weekend anyway cut my feet on sunday at a sea swimm at windsurfers peir :(

    anway was hoping it was dead normal wanting to do more, yeah doing nice, suncream i ll eating the stuff !!

    Thats funny about the cant sleep, where did that come from ? last few nights still awake at 2am , when last few i weeks i was having super sleeps !!
