LG KS360 Won't Turn On Completely

My daugther's LG KS360 went dead the other day, and when she got it on charge and turned it back on it just stays on the KS360 initial power on screen and it won't do anything. Only way to power it off is removing battery. She is with O2, and got the phone for Christmas. Any ideas before we bring it back to a o2 shop?

It's not the most reliable phone, take it to the nearest fonemenders if your in dublin, it might be a little quicker than handing into o2.
