A friend pointed out an interesting fact about this week....and I'll put this out as a quiz question:

Where on the Dublin Bus network does, uniquely, for the two Fridays around the June summer solstice, night meet day at sunrise?

Would this be on the last run of the Balbriggan Nite Link when it returns as the 04:50 33 into town?

I didn't think anyone would be that quick, but you're half right H & E.

The answer is the 0400 33N (Night) from D'Olier Street and the first inbound 33 at 0450 from Balbriggan (Day).

However, they are in fact two separate buses.

There are some unique facts about the 33/33n.
    1. These two routes overlap in time on Friday night/Saturday morning
    2. The 0450 from Balbriggan is the only service in Dublin Bus that always starts before sunrise! The next earliest service is 0500 route 41 from Abbey St. Sunrise between 6th and 29th June is before 0500. Earliest sunrise in Dublin is 0456, which is sunrise time every day from 13th to 22nd June
    3. The 0400 33n is one of the few Nitelinks that is normally still working in service after sunrise in midsummer (there may be others still in service after 0456, so this may not be totally unique).

The two passed one another on Saturday morning at about 0456 at Barnageerah Strand between Skerries and Balbriggan as the sun began to appear!

Quite literally night met day at sunrise.
