I have been trying to decide on an upgrade for my 01 Fiesta (badly needed) for a while now.

I am pretty much between the 5 door focus and 3 door megane (new coupe).

My brother recently got a mondeo titanium couple weeks back, hadn't heard of the model before but its very slick. Anyone seen and Focus Titanium's? Thoughts, views...

They exist, but are rare enough. 1.6 115bhp Ti-Vct engine is good.

Nothing on the Focus Titanium worth the extra over the Zetec in my opnion - and it also looks like they are trying to get rid of the horrible 16 spoke Mondeo wheels on them.

To be honest, a leather steering wheel and armrest on a Style model and you aren't far off the spec of the Titanium, but should be quite a way from the price of one.

Actually no - I know a chap who bought one new locally, so they were sold here.

I have a UK 2.0TDCi Focus Titanium. Really like the spec as other Focci can seem a bit low rent inside. Nice trim embellishments, privacy glass, upgraded stereo, nicer seats, chrome details, etc.

Looked at the Megane 3 door recently, nice styling but lousy visibility, try reversing, and felt somewhat cramped. Focus would be a more practical proposition.

Yeah the upgraded stereo is a pretty cool Sony one. I am big into my interior comforts hence why I liked the look of the Megane

    Sorry - meant new.

Can't have been available for too long with the ti-vct engine. The change from Ghia to Titanium hadn't been in place long when they stopped selling the petrols I seem to remember.

I don't think the current Focus Titanium is as high spec as Stevie's imported one. Had 4 in earlier this year and was distinctly un-impressed with them.

2007 I think my pals car is. It's similar enough to a regular Zetec tbh. I bought a new Zetec Connection at the time which was much better equipped. 15bhp less but no big deal.

On the current model the premium for a Titanium isn't worth it imho.

The Ti-Vct engine in the new Fiesta is very good. Pulls well, overtakes even in top with ease, and is fairly light on fuel, despite lowish gearing.
