    Hi,

We are painting our Hallway/landing and cannot decide on colours...does anyone have any ideas.

The hallway is quite big but can be dark as the only light coming in is from the glass panels on either side on the front door. The stairs is on the left hand side. i was thinking of doing the stairs wall in a contrasting colour...

Any ideas or links are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

if it's not a really bright hall i'd go with safe white or usual magnolia. If you wanted to do a feature wall you could use a vibrant orange or something warm to brighten the place up. Depends on the rest of you colour scheme and if the house is modern or traditional decor. There are some really nice wallpapers available now too that would add just a hint of colour if you didn't want to have the whole thing in a strong colour.

    Hi,

Its more of a traditonal house in the country. We are thinking of an oak floor and oak stairs...its a new build..

    Wallpaper is an idea alrite...

in a similar situation myself, hallway will be bright enough enough though

however to make the most of the light i'm laying 60x60 white/cream tiles

i feel the 60x60 will give a better feeling of space and obviously the light coloured tile will reflect light
