Volvo V50 A/C Issue

    Morning All,

On the hottest weekend of the year so far, and with the folks over, the Wife's V50 decided that the A/C was going to play up

Rather than not working at all, it's decided to blow super hot air on the passenger side (where I was sat), but it's working fine on the driver's side. Currently have the 2 passenger side vents closed off with the driver's vent on the centre console pointing in my direction.

Dual Zone A/C and both sides set to 17 degrees so I'm guessing that the sensor on the passenger side has malfunctioned.

Anyone any idea if this is a common fault with the sensors, or where the sensor is?

    2005 V50 1.8i SE with 108,000km.

    Thanks.

Could be one of two things.

Either the air distribution motor down at the unit itself or else the dash control facia has failed.

Really needs to go on a diagnostic to be sure.

Just the man I was hoping would see this :D

Herself said it was OK on her way home yesterday, but I'll check it again at some point and proceed from there.

    Thanks Hellrazer
