Powered by the modified VR6 engine with a displacement increased from 2.8 to 3.0-liters and a huge turbocharger this 13 year old GTI produces 800 horsepower!

click here to see the video. , onboard video shows how hard it is to drive it on such crazy speeds.

Says 324kph on the ticket, not 334. And is it really possible to get to 324kph in 28 seconds?

Thumb conveniently covering the 33 22 part of the speed.

Did anyone notice how fast he stopped?
Not enough mods done to enable a golf to hold that speed anyway.
Jeremy also added larger wheels and tires to make sure he can hit 200 mph on the mile
    . :D

what's the thing with bigger wheels/tyres? Cant remember exact numbers, but somewhere it said extra tyre height can add up to 15 km on top speed.

Hmmmmm.... It's hardly a gti golf with vr6 engine in it, right?

Would that be posible to get 800hp with vr6 engine? As far as I remember it's not even 24 valve, thought I stand to be corrected.

800 hp on fwd car sounds a bit unreal...

Dunno I might be wrong, it could be real deal. But somehow it smells fishy...

I was in 320 hp glanza which is fwd car. It torgue steered like a bastords of a child.... So 800hp and he barely moved around...

why not a real thing? With a large turbo and other modifications it is possible, question is how reliable it is.

Yes it's possible, everything possible. I just newer heard about vr6 engines to be so pumped out. And Fwd with 800hp sounds a bit unreal.

As I said, I stand to be corrected. I don't know much about golf and golfs vr6 engine so I can't comment on it's performance. It's just my wild guess and general thought. If it's real, then " damn, that's some fast golf".

Quite sure the engine does not remind much of the original one the car had in 1997:)

Well gti golf newer had vr6 engines. Those were 1.8 turbo. So he did dropped ather engine allready, stroked and filly forged engine which got up to 3.0l. Got knows what size "snail shell" he has on it aswell. Prety sure it's not running on standart fuel.

    You could get a mk3 VR6 in the states badged as a GTI,same way you can get a 2wd 24v V6 mk4 badged as a GTI.

Those engines are well able for that power with the right mods, one of the best/strongest engines VW ever made, there are umpteen ones stateside running 4/500+ Bhp.

There is another famous video on you tube of a turbo'd 3.2 vr6 mk1 golf showing a Bi turbo supra and bi turbo 996 what is what.

Damn any links in to that? Would love to see them! I guess then they knew how to do a nice performance engine!

But what about soooooo much power on fwd?!

Also 5 speed manual with lots of time between shifts it seems......... what's his final ratio gonna be to make 208mph. I dunno, I strongly doubt this is for real.

I doubt this is for real, although I'm sure Euro Tuner mag would have scrutinized and overseen the run.

The overall time 0-200-0mph just seems way to quick for me. Also, the car would have to be much more modded to be able to do that.

800 Bhp in a front wheel drive car isn't out of the way. I know of a MINI in the states pushing over 600Bhp from it's 1.6 block.
