okay guys I need your help!

It's my sister's 50th birthday at the end of july, and she's decided to come visit for the weekend of her birthday. all the family will be here!

They all live outside the country, so I need some ideas pronto!

Some info that may influence your ideas:
    • Kids will be included (ages 5-8)
    • Most of them have never been to Ireland
    • Those that have, have only been to Dublin
    • My mum is 82, and isn't very mobile

    That's it!:)

    Ideas on a postcard please!!!

Photo slide show thru a projector onto a screen or even to a tv.

Pics consist of the person having the birthday (Pics from birth to present day).
Make it a "This is your life" thing?

Other pics can be of Ireland and places for those never here before and you can explain/entertain as they look at the pics?

"But best of all the Chinese people themselves.
Look at them there, aren't they great?
The Chinese; a great bunch of lads."

i'm based in Dublin, and there will be 6 adults and 2 kids.

thanks for the ideas so far (i particularly like the this is your life idea) but i'm just really looking for ideas on activities to do with them while they're all here. maybe somewhere to go outside of dublin in the day? maybe somewhere to go in the evening with the kids?

as I'm new to Dublin myself, i'm a bit at a loss.

    thanks!

with the kids you could take them to Fort Lucan - great play area for kids, or maybe the aquatic centre in Blach, the zoo,
you could hire out a kariokie (sorry for spelling!) for the evening or if you have wii sports - both adults and kids could take part, you could have teams/tournaments

since you've said you're mother is elderly and can't get around much, if you have the room the best thing to do is a bbq, that way you're not dragging your mother around all evening and when the children get tired, which they will, you can just get them off to bed and you don't have to worry bout getting home.
