iPod Nano to Aux in on Radio?

3.5mm phones out from Nano to Aux in on radio won't play iPod. Old analogue radio, Sony, however there in no dedicated Aux in switch, thought the iPod would override the radio. Obviously not. Can hear the iPod in the backround with the radio coming to the fore however. NO switch for aux on radio as far as I can see. What's…

Should be a mode/source button I imagine . Same one you would use to switch between radio and CDs . Well that's how most work I think
