Yeah, Shefflin, Eddie Keher, Eoin Kelly, DJ Carey and Nicky Rackard all attended St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. The amount of All-Ireland medals and all-stars won by past pupils of that school is amazing.

Hes such a great player and has a few years left in him yet. The exceptional thing is that Kilkenny are full of stars like him-he is not alone in being a wonderful player in the team.

As I was leaving Croke Park the Kilkenny team were getting on their bus and Shefflin was standing outside signing autographs and posing for photos with kids from every county. An absolute gent and without doubt the greatest hurler I've ever seen live.

Have to agree Henry is a gent, like most Kilkenny hurlers I have met, great for kids to meet these ordinary yet very special sportsmen.

    Henry making history today

There is no doubt but he is a special player. To be top of that list with a couple of years left in the legs simply means he will be there for a very long time, and deservedly so! I will of course shout some ridiculous comments at him and his fellow mates next time we play them...... better think up of some new ones though, as the last time my comments had no effect on him... would you believe that!

King Henry is one of the greatest hurlers of all time. Only a matter of time before he broke the record.

Good guy off the pitch too.

Absolute privilege to be able to watch such a nice person go about his business in such an efficient and deadly fashion.

I always felt no one would ever touch DJ in my lifetime in terms of sheer brilliance but Henry has surpassed him

Best tribute I've seen to him was before the All-Ireland last year in an article in the Sunday Times. Not sure of the specifics but in a club match With the Shamrocks TJ Reid received the ball late in the game and was bearing down on goal. He wasn't going to be able to score himself but Henry was running along side him. Henry was then supposed to have been heard instructing TJ about when to pass the ball to him, "No, no, no, no, no NOW". Henry took the pass, TJ took the hit and the Shamrocks I presume won the match because of it. Just goes to show the natural intelligence and awareness he has for the game.

Young players should be shown clips of him playing and how he pulls away from the play to allow room for others. Then he is available for the pass if they run into trouble and there's no better man for slotting over a point.

    True genius of the game

He is an amazing player, truly one of the best players ever. Long may he continue!

Was just looking at the records there. He did it one game quicker than Eddie Keher. Thats some scoring power by the greatest hurler of this generation, maybe of any generation.
