Hybrid Hard Drive in a MBP??

    Hi,

    Has anyone any experience with hybrid hard drives in a MBP? I was going to upgrade my HD anyway and found this; http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/laptops/laptop-hdd/

    It is a 500GB disk with 4GB Flash. It uses internal firmware to move frequently accessed files to the flash to remove seek latency issues.

    My questions is, this is supposed to be OS independent has anyone used this with OSX? Is it any good?
