    Please!

Sorry if there's already 1000 threads on this..

I have submitted a couple requests this evening, do I get e-mail / SMS notifications when something happens or how am I notified?

Also, was trying to do medical expenses - Dental expenses was fairly self explanatory.

Doctor expenses - is this entered just through Other Medical Expenses.

    Also what about Prescriptions?

Does a Form have to be sent in along with the medical expenses or can it all be done online?

Also would a Dr / Chemist have records of prescriptions / visits / would they be ok with issuing copies of receipts?

    Thanks a million!

There is an inbox in your PAYE anytime where notifications will go,
Doc and prescriptions go into the Other Med Exp box

No paperwork has to be sent in for medical expenses but you must keep your documentation for 6 years.

Doctors and chemists certainly do have all that information but they sometimes charge to print it off particularly doctors in my experience.

    Hi Nojunkmail
In relation to the health expenses claim, the doctor expenses and prescription costs are put in the "Other Medical Expenses" section. The amount claimable for prescriptions is restricted to the max amount payable under the Drug Payment Scheme (2009 was 90per month,1080 for the year).
When done online you dont have to send in a form or the receipts however you should retain the supporting info, as the Revenue do randomly select claims for verification and request receipts.
You can make a claim for the previous 4 years (i.e. back to 2006) if you have the receipts.

    Kind Regards

Ok, I'm prob being silly but I can't see an inbox??

Or how do I know if requests have been dealt with / are being dealt with.

    Thanks again.

I might just ask my Dr.'s receptionist if she can give me a figure over the phone with regards Dr expenses.
