    Hey,

I completed a course in dcu a few years ago and am thinking of doing another. I'm under the mature student age of 23. Was wondering if i have to pay full fees as its my 2nd degree or do i have to wait until im 23?

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Yeah, AFAIK you'd have to pay full fees, I have a cousin who just graduated from Maynooth and is thinking of doing another undergrad and either has to pay full fees or wait until she's 23. I'd assume it's the same for you.

waiting till 23 makes no difference, once you do one course the state won't fund another.

Yeah, but aren't there grants and stuff to go back as a 'mature student'? Cause I know a lot of people who are holding out til they're 23 to go back and do something else.

no! the grants are only available for one undergraduate degree, even if you didn't claim a grant the first time. Waiting till 23 only makes a difference if you want to be classed as independent of your parents for the income levels for the grant either doing a undergraduate course for the first time or doing a postgraduate course.
