Maxi Dress for a 19 year old

Hey,

Can anyone suggest some maxi dresses for a 19 year old please?

I am a size 8-10 and 5'5 1/2. Also, I don't wear high heels as I can't walk in them.

I would a plain Turquoise maxi dress as well as other colours/patterns/prints etc.

Some of those are lovely, there's a few I'd love to get from your selection, but I have no boobs so the dresses wouldn't suit me!

Well I'd be the same except I'm 21 and I got a gorgeous one in Zara, it's a sort of off cream colour with a gorgeous floral pattern..not overkill or anything, it's strapless and the top part is stretchy ruched sort of material. You should check out Soho Market in Stephen's Green, got a lovely strapless navy one there too.

I always thought maxi-dresses looked really classy on other girls, but didn't think I could carry them off, for some reason. But I just tried on one of my roomie's Monsoon ones, and I'm converted! They're sooo flattering! And also I hate my legs so much, I'm delighted to find a fashionable way to cover them up!

I haven't been around the shops in aaaages - can anyone suggest shops that have cheap nice dresses? Some of the ones linked to here on Asos are fab, however payday isn't until next Wednesday and I'm going on hols on Thursday, so can't buy online!

I also haven't had a social life in quite a while - where do people wear these? I mean, are they suitable for a normal night out, or would you be completely overdressed?

And I'm presuming heels are a no-no? Flip-flops all the way? It's funny, I can wear heels no problem, but find it impossible to find a comfy pair of flip-flops

I've ordered it and should get it in the next day or too so I can let you know how it fits. Now, I'm a 32Bish but it should be pretty easy to tell how well it would fit someone smaller.

What about any of these? I know some of them are low cut, but I just thought maybe I could either 1) wear a cami/string top inside the dress or get the front of the dress taken in/adjusted slightly?

Right, update. A 32AA would be swimming in the dress. It's perfect on me but 32AA would be way too small for it. An A cup might get away with it but not an AA.

I actually saw this in New Look yesterday and it is much nicer than in the pic.

I tried it on and it was way to long on me. I tried the size 8 and it was in a puddle as my feet.

As I said previously, I'd be wearing flat shoes with it. So as I'm 5'5 so would I be better looking in the short/petite sections for maxi dresses?

im the same height as you and like the one you tried on in NL, its too long for me, i may get it taken up a couple of inches as i doubt ill wear it with wedges all the time

got it in river island in the square, was in dundrum the other day but they didnt have it there. its so comfy, love it:) it was 33 euro which isnt bad at all.
if u buy that dress, id say you wouldnt get charged too much to get it taken up, its worth it if u like the dress other than the lenght:)
