    I now know of 5 couples that have broken up in the last few weeks.. It's like this every year, seems to be a spate of breakups followed by a big lull.

    It's a bit odd.

    The heat is just giving everyone Cabin Fever, leading them slowly into insanity and erratic behaviour.

    I always recognised breakup season to occur around January/February

    People begin to realize that having a boyfriend or girlfriend sucks during the summer months.

    Thats mad because I was recently thinking the same.

    All over my facebook;

    John is single : Mary is single : Richard is Single etc etc..

    In my experience thats the time of year when one or both people in the relationship want more commitment which the other is unwilling to give. Then the bastard one who decides they're not waiting another year pulls the curtains on the relationship.

    I find the start of/early summer is always break-up season alright.

    Also seems to me that autumn/early winter is hook-up season

    There's more flesh on display out there, of both varieties, so people begin to see the flaws of their partner in a rather harsher light.
