Sorry if im double posting now, but i havent seen any threads about the new Twoway system that Digiweb and Satellite broadband ireland are providing.

Advertised @ 3.6down and 384kb up. I had about 2 minutes on one and did a quick speed test, got 7.5 down n .05 up. but latency was 1184.

has anyone used these new systems? I used satelite in the past and it was piss poor but this system 'seems' to be different.

Not looking to connect a ps3, xbox, etc. And wondering if anyone uses this system what do they think? is the initial latency when connecting to a site annoying? and is the 2.4gb d/l too restrictive.

    Anyway any ideas appreciated.

The latency is never less than 790ms

It's been arround a good while. There are other threads. It's technically the "old" Tooway system. The "new" one uses a Satellite not yet launched (Kasat @13E), due in next 4 months, maybe.

Because it's using various techniques that are not regular TCP/IP the page load time on many sites with 3rd party content or multiple servers will be shorter than 1Mbps to 6Mbps 3G/HSDPA/iHSPA when the "ping" (latency) on Mobile goes beyond 250ms, which is common.
